Three doors are open. An Officer reaches out within the first week.

The Republic does not sell itself. It states what it is and what it offers, and expects the right people to recognise themselves in it. If that is you, the door is at the top of this page.

If you want to know what you are walking into first — keep reading.

Those arriving for the Free Fly need neither ship nor experience. The Republic asks one thing: the will to stand with humanity.

What you get

The Republic is built for players who want structure, coordination, and a doctrine in writing — not an improvised guild that figures itself out as it goes.

ConcreteWhat it means in practice
Coordinated operationsRecurring ops across combat, industry, exploration, and logistics. Published on Discord. After-action reviews. Mentorship from Veterans.
Bilingual communityEnglish and European Portuguese — both official. Operations default to whichever serves the mission.
Meritocratic progressionEight ranks from Tiro (Recruit) to Consul Primus (First Consul). Earned by demonstrated contribution. No purchased rank. No seniority without substance.
Insurance fund (Fundus Securitatis)Lose a ship or cargo in a formally declared org-op? File a claim. The fund reimburses. The dangerous lane is less terrifying when the Republic shares the cost.
100 / 0 / 0 op-splitOp income goes 100% to participants. The Republic takes nothing from your individual play. No taxes, no tithes, no mandatory dues — by canonical rule.
Doctrine in writingNot improvised. The Charter is structured, versioned, and public. You know what the org stands for before you commit.

Three doors

The Republic recognises three legitimate ways to belong. Pick the one that fits you — the others remain open if you change your mind.

How much roleplay we expect

For sworn Citizens: as much or as little as you want. The Republic supports five engagement tiers, from Civis Tacitus (the Oath itself, nothing more) to Civis Auctor (writes for the canon). Most members live at Tier I or II — sworn, ranked, no roleplay outside operations.

For unsworn Peregrini: zero roleplay required, ever. Full operational access regardless.

What we don’t ask of you

  • No taxes on individual play income — you keep what you earn. Canonical rule.
  • No dues, no tithes, no mandatory contributions of any kind.
  • No real-world money as a condition of participation. Ever.
  • No pressure to roleplay if you don’t want to. Pressure is a conduct issue, reportable.
  • No uniformity of opinion. Disagreement in proper channels is welcomed.
  • No constant availability. The Republic respects that members have lives.
  • No specific ship. Operations accommodate a range of hulls; training is provided for roles that need it.
  • No politics IRL. Real-world political and ideological argument is unwelcome in our channels — see the FAQ.

Who fits

  • Adults who want a structured org with written doctrine instead of an improvised guild
  • Players who want coordinated ops across multiple in-game disciplines
  • Members bilingual in English or European Portuguese — or comfortable in either
  • People who treat the doctrine as the grimdark fiction it is, and treat each other as the human beings they are
  • People who can hold a conviction without losing their humour

Who doesn’t

  • Anyone who wants to import real-world political or ideological argument into our channels
  • Anyone who wants to apply in-universe doctrine to real persons, groups, or beliefs
  • Casual collective-rotators who treat the Republic as one of many costumes
  • Anyone unwilling to commit to the platform’s community standards

The path — three steps

  1. Register on RSI and join the Discord. Introduce yourself in the welcome channel. New to Star Citizen? Code STAR-Y3JS-VM4Q earns new players +50,000 UEC on their first game package purchase.
  2. Choose your doorCivis (sworn), Peregrinus (unsworn), or Foederatus (allied org leader).
  3. An Officer reaches out within the first week. From there:
    • Sworn track: Orientation → First op → Integration (weeks 1–4) → Oath of Vigil at the end of week 4 (or earlier, by merit).
    • Unsworn track: Peregrinus role granted within the day. Full ops access. No further commitment required.

That is the entire process. Anything more detailed is on this page below.

Stand with the Republic

The Vigil begins in the welcome channel. An Officer reaches out within the first week.

  1. Manifesto — the first words. Why the Republic exists.
  2. Charter — Articles I–V. The rules of the Republic.
  3. Code of Conduct — community standards. How members behave with each other and with the world outside.
  4. Codex Terranus — the full doctrinal corpus. Eight sealed Libri, manuscript reader. For those who want to know everything before they swear anything.
  5. Disclaimer — independent gaming community. Original grimdark fiction. No affiliation with any publisher.
  6. Engagement Tiers — locate yourself on the RP spectrum before deciding.
  7. FAQ — playstyle, languages, age, ships, voice, the doctrine.

If these align with your convictions and your willingness to operate inside a structured organisation — proceed.

The full pipeline (sworn track)

For the Recruit who chooses the Civis path. The unsworn Peregrinus path skips steps 5–8.

8Transition from Tiro (Recruit) to Civis (Citizen). The rank ladder opens.

Prospect’s Declaration

(Optional — for the Recruit who chooses the sworn track)

I understand that the Terran Republic is a fictional organisation within a shared narrative universe of grimdark military science fiction, and that its doctrine is aesthetic fiction that does not apply to any real-world person or group.

I understand that the Republic operates in English and European Portuguese, under the Charter sealed by the First Council and the First Consul, and within the community standards of the platforms on which it operates.

I understand that my membership begins as a Recruit and is provisional until the Oath of Vigil.

I understand that advancement is earned, not given; that disloyalty is terminal; and that doctrine — once taken — is carried.

Where I understand these things and choose, freely, to stand with the Republic — I stand.

Unum Genus. Una Res Publica. Una Vigilantia. One Species. One Republic. One Vigilance.
