Habitus — The Worn
Habitus — the worn — is the domain closest to the Citizen. It is the plate a sworn hand stands the line in, and the doctrine that binds it is the plainest in the catalogue: the matériel serves the count. A suit exists to bring its Citizen home, or to be the thing they are counted from.
The domain runs across all three Eras and two Forges of the regular service, plus one Imperial line. Eleven Classes in total — three Founding, four Vigil, four Modern. The armour field is omitted throughout, because in this domain the Class is the armour. All burn the Personal Cell; all carry personal endurance only — the operator's own air, water and ration.
Founding era
- Sworn — Combat Armour, 32 kg. The first protective plate the Republic gave its sworn Citizens. Retired; held as ceremonial stock.
- Vestige — Officer's Combat Armour, 44 kg. Reserve, heritage refit; still worn ceremonially at formal Reckonings.
- Aureum — Heavy Exoframe, Imperial Guard, 78 kg. The only Habitus line the Adyton builds, worn exclusively by the Armada's sworn complement. In service; roster sealed.
Vigil era
- Steadfast — Combat Armour, 38 kg. The lineage descendant of the founding plate.
- Stalwart — Assault Plate, 52 kg.
- Drayframe — Heavy Exoframe, 110 kg.
- Tower — Walking War-Frame, 950 kg. The first frame to carry a tactical shield.
Modern era
- Warden — Combat Armour, 42 kg. The plate the line stands in today.
- Bulwark — Assault Plate, 56 kg.
- Ironside — Heavy Exoframe, 128 kg. The heavy-weapons frame of the contubernium.
- Keep — Walking War-Frame, 1 100 kg. The anchor a Centuria forms on.
The personal screen is Vigil-era and Modern only. Founding-era plate predates it — which is why the two Adamant Classes carry no shield rating at all, and the Aureum, built in the same era by the Adyton, does.
