Terra — The Ground
Terra — the ground — is the domain of the dirt that matters. Ten Classes: two Founding, four Vigil, four Modern. All burn Deuteride at the plant and run an electric, plant-fed drive.
The Founding-era plates carry no Imperial presence at all, and the reason is doctrinal rather than industrial: the Imperial Armada has no ground service. The Emperor has no army of his own — the Republic's army is the regular service, and the Adyton has never laid a ground hull.
The domain runs on a fixed type-vocabulary that repeats across the Eras: troop carrier, direct-fire vehicle, walking strongpoint, artillery. Each Vigil Class has a Modern descendant in the same slot — which is the refit doctrine made visible in a roster.
Founding era
- Lictor — Troop Carrier, 14 t. Reserve; heritage refits still run in active training.
- Praetor — Walking Strongpoint, 95 t. Reserve; three heritage hulls remain active. The founding ancestor of every walker the Republic has laid since.
Vigil era
- Sledge — Troop Carrier.
- Crag — Direct-Fire Vehicle.
- Pillar — Walking Strongpoint.
- Hammer — Artillery.
Modern era
- Drover — Troop Carrier. The column that carries a Cohors to the line.
- Ridgeline — Direct-Fire Vehicle.
- Citadel — Walking Strongpoint. The anchor of a sector.
- Levin — Artillery. The fire-base registered on the valley axis.
The walker is the anchor, not the hero. A Centuria forms on a walking strongpoint; the walker does not lead. It is a tall target on the line, and the doctrine accepts its loss as a Crisis-grade event when it comes — render the death whole, name the crew, let the Centuria feel the anchor go.
